Basil K. Bonner, 82, of Vincennes, passed away at 11:50 am Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Lodge of the Wabash.He was born November 22, 1935 in Decker, Indiana to Daniel and Wilma (Reel) Bonner.Basil had worked as a salesman for Moor Mans, president and co-owner of Triple T, owner of Western Indiana Chemicals in Carlisle, was a salesman trainer for Nissan, and owner of B&D Market. A member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church, he enjoyed, fishing, hunting, and traveling.Survivors include his wife, Dixie (Gray) Bonner, whom he married on June 30, 2003 in Pigeon Forge; his children, Sheree Russell and her husband, Rick of Vincennes, Shelley Blagrave and her husband, Robert of Vincennes, Basil Bonner Jr. of Vincennes, and Keith Bonner and his spouse, Richard Ryan of Florida; his step sons, David Stephens of Indianapolis, Tim Stephens of Somerville, TN, and Angela Dean and her husband, Jason of Boonville; a sister, Cindy Holloway of Vincennes; a brother, Daniel Bonner and his wife, Marlene of Texas; his grandchildren, Ian Russell, Jessica Braithwaite, Amy Russell, Robby Blagrave, Dylan Blagrave, and Ryan Bonner; his step grandchildren, Desiree Ryor, Darian Plummer, Marques Ballard, Kaleb Stephens, and Kaylee Stephens; along with seven great grandchildren.Preceding him in death were his parents, his first wife, Shirley (Nowaskie) Bonner, whom preceded him on February 3, 2001; a sister, Becky Bonner, and a brother, Louie Bonner.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Deacon Earl Ruppel officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Goodwin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Basil Bonner family.
