With great sadness, the family of Paul D Earley announces his passing on Saturday, April 12, 2014.Paul was born August 27, 1937 to Sadie (Doane) and Virgil Earley. He graduated from Wheatland High School in 1955. Paul attended Vincennes University and served honorably in the U.S. Army.He was employed at Security Bank/Old National Bank for 31 years as a commercial lending officer. He presently owned Galleria Showcase in downtown Vincennes.Paul was a member of First United Methodist Church, Vincennes, life member of Vincennes Elks #291 and a member of Masonic Lodge, Monroe City. He served on the Lincoln High School Building Corporation and was past treasurer of the American Red Cross.Paul enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved playing golf, entertaining and working in the yard.Paul was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janet (Wittenmyer) Earley, daughter Jana Fields and husband Joe, Lexington, KY, son Grant Earley and wife Maria, Vincennes, IN, and grandchildren Ethan and Kendall Fields and Maggie, Mitchell and Natalie Earley.He is also survived by sisters Mildred Steimel, Helen Summers, and Linda Thompson. Surviving brothers include Don, Bob, Dwight and Dwayne.He was proceeded in death by sisters Pauline Boyles, Norma Bonhomme and brothers Gib, John and Gordon.A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at First United Methodist Church, 411 N. 4th Street in Vincennes Indiana, with Reverend Paul Wagner officiating. Friends may visit with family from 12pm until 2pm at the church.Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Good Samaritan Hospice, or charity of choice.Gardner - Brockman Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
