Veronica L. Tapley, 81, passed away on December 7, 2023. Veronica, born on March 1, 1942, was a radiant soul who brought joy and warmth to the world around her. She was a resident of Vincennes, Indiana, where her laughter and love of life echoed throughout the community. Known for her stylish flair and passion for clothes shopping, Veronica always had a knack for making everyday moments special. Her glowing presence will be missed, yet her spirit will continue to brighten the lives of those she touched.
Veronica spent most of her career in the food industry, working as a dedicated waitress. She had a unique ability to connect with people, making them feel noticed and valued. Her genuine care and bright smile turned ordinary dining experiences into memorable moments. She had a deep affection for classical and gospel music, which she often said was the soundtrack to her soul. Veronica was a woman of faith who believed in the power of love and unity. She cherished her family, a bond she nurtured with her five sons: Gary II, Stewart, Gregory, Paul, and Adam Tapley. As the matriarch of the family, she instilled in them the values of love, respect, and kindness. She was a guiding light, a beacon of hope, and a symbol of strength for her sons. She also enjoyed her siblings; Jim, Betty, Rose, and Mary Jo; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Veronica Tapley lived a life that was as beautiful and unique as the music she loved. Her legacy will continue to resonate through the lives of her sons and the community she so cherished.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at New Heart Church, 1204 Broadway St, Vincennes, Indiana 47591 at 6:00 PM. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Veronica.
