Agnes May Thompson, a cherished homemaker known for her artistic spirit and love of music, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026. Born on May 9, 1937, Agnes lived a life rich with creativity and devotion to her family and interests.

Agnes had a profound passion for oil painting, a pursuit through which she expressed her keen eye for beauty and detail. Her home often resonated with the melodies of gospel and country music, as she delighted in singing and playing the guitar. An enthusiastic angler, Agnes found joy and tranquility in fishing, embracing the peacefulness of the outdoors.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, James (Lynna) Woolsey, Jr., her sisters, Dixie (Gary) Jean Henson, Daliah Ruth Greene, and Doris Cooper, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Agnes also rests in memory alongside her beloved daughter, Angela Ruth Johnson, as well as her parents, Herman and Edna Wiro.

Services to honor the life of Agnes May Thompson will be held on June 2, 2026, beginning with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Goodwin-Sievers Family Funeral Home in Washington, Indiana, located at 2020 State Street. Following visitation, a funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Family, friends, and all who knew Agnes are invited to celebrate her life and legacy during these times.

Agnes's warmth, talent, and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on all who were privileged to know her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
