Alan Hansen

Alan J. Hansen, 51, of 1330 S. Purcell Avenue, Vincennes, passed away at 2:37 p.m. June 28, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital.He was born May 8, 1961 in Vincennes to Robert B. & Mary Ann (Thais) Hansen.Alan worked as a self-employed floor installer and also had worked for Mike Boyer Construction. He graduated from South Knox High School and was a member of the Moose Club. Alan loved his motorcycles, NASCAR, being a Jeff Gordon fan, and doing the lighting for the Zero Kings. Alan was a perfectionist in everything he did and loved spending time with his family and friends.Surviving is his mother, Mary Ann Hansen of Vincennes; his companion, Corby Esarey; his children, Aaron J. Hansen of Vincennes, Jessica Ann Decker and her husband Dusty of Bruceville, and Andrea L. Madison and her husband Cody of Vincennes; his brothers, Rob Hansen and his wife Millie, and Moe Hansen of Vincennes; his grandchildren, Kaidince Madison, Gage Madison, and Malaia Decker; a step granddaughter, Olivia Fouts; his nieces and nephews, Chad hansen, Heather Hansen, Jay Cockerhan, and Emily CockerhamHe was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Mark Hansen.Funeral services for Alan will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
