Anastasia Cecelia Obermeyer, 77, of Vincennes died peacefully at home on June 1, 2026.

She was born May 20, 1949, to Ralph Utt and Theresa Mary (Kapuschansky) Utt in Yonkers, New York.

She was a graduate of Greenfield High School, Greenfield, IN. She met Donald Ray Obermeyer while they were both working at the Brown Shoe Factory. They married December 8, 1972, and he survives. Together they ran Obe’s ATV & Cycle Center in Vincennes for years. Anastasia was employed by Vincennes Community School Corporation for decades until her retirement.

Many hours were spent at the racetracks rooting for the boys, who would likely be racing 3-wheelers, 4-wheelers, dirt bikes or bicycles. She also attended many sporting events over the years, from football to baseball. The boys had many close friends throughout the years that would walk right in the house to a warm greeting and a good meal. Their home was always a hub of activity. She and Don loved to spend time fishing together. She was very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and cherished the time spent with them.

She was a devout member of St. John The Baptist Church in Vincennes.

In addition to her spouse, Anastasia is survived by her four sons, Kenneth (Anissa) Obermeyer, Defiance, MO, Keith (Jo Ellen) Obermeyer, Jasper, IN, Donald (Deanna Creed) Obermeyer, St. Peters, MO, and Ryan (Denise) Obermeyer, Vincennes, her mother Theresa Mary Utt, Aurora CO, brothers Wayne Utt, Ralph (Mary) Utt and Brian Utt, sister Barbara Utt, brother-in-law Paul Obermeyer, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Utt, an infant sister, in-laws Alfred “Pete” and Doris (Catt) Obermeyer and sister-in-law Ruth Obermeyer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John The Baptist Church in Vincennes on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., with Fr. Anthony Ernst officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
