It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ann Lynne McEllhiney, beloved mother and friend, who left us peacefully on April 17, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born on December 28, 1937 in Decatur, Indiana. She is the daughter of Benjamin and Bernice (McLellan) Marhenke. Lynne married Charles G. McEllhiney on August 28, 1982. Lynne left an unforgettable mark on everyone who crossed her path.


Lynne was a member of the Bethlehem General Baptist Church in Vincennes. She found joy in her faith and extended her compassionate spirit through her work with the Red Cross, actively participating in blood drives. She enjoyed talking and visiting with the patrons as they gave blood. She loved to go camping, play games and was a true craft enthusiast.


Throughout her career, Lynne made lasting memories while working at Kmart. She ran the Gas Lite Motel in Lawrenceville. She later very much enjoyed serving as a park attendant in Missouri. Her engaging personality made her a cherished presence with many around her. Lynne cherished her family and friends and enjoyed the time spent with them.


She loved the many employees and residents at Bridgepointe as they helped her and made the last 5 years happier and more fulfilling.


Lynne is survived by her children, Dale Crisp II, Cynthia Wilkens and husband Wayne, Matthew Crisp and wife Jayne, Mark Crisp and wife Christhel; brother, Larry Marhenke; grandchildren, Laura Rainey, Caitlin Crisp, Kelly Crisp, Kelsie Valle, Jason Epley, T.J.Pargin, Cayla Crisp, Megan Dyer, Tiffannie Crisp, Mark Crisp II, Sophia Willis, Brenna Willis, and Graden Willis; and 7 great grandchildren. Lynne is preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. McEllhiney; parents, Benjamin and Bernice Marhenke; daughter, Gale Valle and granddaughter Marthel Crisp.


A visitation for Lynne will be held on April 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home in Vincennes, Indiana. The funeral service will be conducted at the same location on April 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by her burial at Columbia White Church Cemetery 991 S. 250 W. Princeton, Indiana, 47670. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Vincennes Animal Shelter or the Bethlehem General Baptist Church building fund. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Lynne.
