Betty A. Kell

Betty A Kell, 81, of Washington, Indiana passed away surrounded by family on March 23, 2026. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 3, 1944, to the late Cecil and J. Lucille Queen. Betty worked several jobs in her lifetime but her favorite was as head cook for the Daviess Community Hospital for 30 years. In her free time she enjoyed cooking her famous BBQ hamburgers and baking her cinnamon rolls. She also loved making dolls, watching game shows, frying fish for Callahan's events, and spending time with her beloved dog and family. Betty will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Lucille Queen; infant twin daughters Annette and Jeanette; siblings Marilyn, Linda, Sandra, Ruth, Robert, Gary, Jim, and Randy.

Betty is survived by her children Angie (Gary Chestnut) Dillon and Bob (Dana) Adams; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Betty. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 2020 State Street from 11 am to 1 pm with cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Animal Control Shelter in Betty's honor.
