Bobby Joe Fox, born June 19, 1944, peacefully passed away on March 31, 2026. He was a devoted family man and a dedicated worker whose life touched many in the Vincennes community and beyond.
Bobby's career was marked by hard work and a commitment to the land and his community. He worked as a farmer for Clark & Clark and Linneweber Brothers, cultivating the fields that fed families and supported local markets. Later, he served as a truck driver for the Knox County Highway Department, contributing to the upkeep and safety of the roads used daily by countless travelers.
Beyond his professional life, Bobby was a man deeply committed to his family and his passions. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often seen cheering at their baseball games with enthusiastic pride. His love for travel took him frequently to the Gatlinburg, Tennessee area, where he enjoyed exploring and making memories. Additionally, he was a dedicated supporter of local sports, regularly attending basketball games at Vincennes University and Lincoln High School, always finding joy in supporting young athletes.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Linda Fox, who he married on April 14, 1963, and stood by his side through all of life's seasons. He leaves behind his brother Richard (Annette) Fox, son Clint Fox, daughter Sheila (Tony) Yarbrough, and numerous grandchildren: David (Danielle) Combs, II, Nicholas Combs, Tony (Shanna) Yarbrough, Jr, Jay (Stephanie) Fox, Laura Fox, Adam Fox, and Matthew Fox. His legacy extends to his beloved great-grandchildren, including Hayden Combs, Nolan Combs, Harper Combs, Landry Combs, Jensen Combs, Eli Combs, Ruthie Combs, Trinity Yarbrough, Justice Yarbrough, McKenna Yarbrough, and Travis Fox.
Those who have passed before him include his father John Fox, mother Geraldine Fox, and brothers Bill Fox, John Darrell Fox, and Paul Fox. Their memories remain a vital part of the foundation upon which Bobby built his own rich and meaningful life.
A visitation honoring Bobby Joe Fox will be held on April 3, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Goodwin-Sievers Family Funeral Home, located at 524 Broadway Street, Vincennes, IN 47591. The funeral service will follow immediately at 1:00 PM at the same location. Burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, 919 Willow Street, Vincennes, IN.
Bobby's memory will live on through his family, his community, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He exemplified a life of dedication, love, and quiet strength, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished and remembered with great respect.
