Buddy Goodwin, Sr.

Cannelton, Indiana Ernest W. Layman, Sr., 77, passed away April 3, 2013 in Racine, Wisconsin. He was born October 13, 1935 in Cannelton son of the late Wesley and Frieda (Persinger) Layman. Also preceding him in death were sisters, Wanda Lane, Ollie Lane and Helen Devillez. Ernest had worked at Racine Steel Castings in Racine, Wisconsin. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, drinking coffee with his son, county western music, playing the guitar and being in the outdoors. He is survived by son Ernest Layman Jr. (Donna), daughters, Veronica Foster (Tim) and June Hird (Charlie), all of Racine, Wisconsin, grandchildren, Gregory, Nicole, Ashleigh, Aiden, Hailey, and Charles "Moosie" and several step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, Carter and Aleah and several step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel with burial in Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
