Cara Depina

Cara Jean DePina 70, of Bridgeport, passed away 11:30 pm Thursday, June 3, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family.She was born March 16, 1951 in Vincennes, Indiana to John ODell and Iva Lou McCabe.Cara had worked as a teacher's aid at Headstart for many years. She loved flowers and spending time with family and friends.Surviving are her daughters Dawn Shots of Lawrenceville, and Buffy DePina of Decker; her step-father Horace McCabe of Vincennes; her nephew Nathan ODell whom she raised of Bridgeport; her siblings, Rita ODell of Vincennes, John ODell of Smithville, and Tonya Harper of Vincennes; along with her grandson James Shots, who was the apple of her eye.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James DePina, whom she married on June 19, 1970 and preceded her on February 13, 2018, and a brother Danny ODell.A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Cara DePina.
