Carman Kay Bell (Hale), 63, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026. Born on December 11, 1962, in Petersburg, Carman lived a life centered on faith, family, love, and devotion. She spent much of her life as a homemaker in both Princeton and Rockville, where she created a warm and welcoming home for all who knew her.
Carman was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cherished her marriage to her devoted husband, Roger Bell, and took great pride in her daughters, Crystal Reed and Megan Mayes.
She shared a close and lasting bond with her sisters, Ceandra Cox and Taffy McCoy, always offering a listening ear, encouragement, and love. Nothing brought Carman greater joy than her family, especially her grandchildren, Tyler Reed and wife Sierra, Alex Reed, Brody Reed, Haley Grable, and Hayden Grable. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Octivia Reed, and Hope Reed, all of whom brought endless happiness to her life.
Carman enjoyed sewing curtains and aprons, playing musical instruments including the piano, harp, accordion, and organ, caring for animals, collecting Bibles, growing flowers, and tending to her garden. She also loved singing at church, where her faith and love for music shined brightly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Squire Hale; her mother, Patricia Diane Hale; her brother, Rusty Hale; and her sister, Ceandra Cox.
A celebration of Carman’s life will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Jesus Christ Our Firm Foundation Church, 1415 North Vincennes Avenue, Petersburg. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
Family and friends are invited to gather in love and remembrance to share stories, laughter, and memories of the kind woman they were blessed to know and love.
Though Carman has departed from this world, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace and forever watching over them.
