Celia Christian

Celia L. "Lois" Christian, 85, passed away at 2:30 am on December 14, 2019 at Bridge Pointe Health Campus. Lois was born in Mt. Carmel, IL on February 26, 1934 the daughter of Virgil and Mary (Pickle) Clark. She married Billy Christian on May 30, 1954 and he preceded her in death on August 31, 2003.Lois was a member of First Baptist Church and had been a crossing guard at Lasalle Elementary School from 1978 until their closing. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and loved her family and grandchildren very much.Survivors include her sons, Danny Christian and his wife Sally of Vincennes, Dana Christian and his wife Diana of Flat Rock, IL, Darrin Christian and his wife Lesa of Vincennes; brother, Ron Clark and his wife Donna of Allendale, IL; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy Christian and two brothers, Harold Bud and Max Clark.Friends may visit with Lois' family from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Marsha Bishop officiating. Lois will be laid to rest next to her husband Billy in Memorial Park Cemetery. Goodwin Funeral Home is honored to assist the Christian family with arrangements.
