It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Edward Black, who left us on June 20, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on November 8, 1958, Charles lived a life full of love and passion in Vincennes, Indiana, where he called home.
Charles was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Karen, and his family meant the world to him. He had a contagious enthusiasm for life that extended to all the things he cherished. A true car enthusiast at heart, he proudly owned a bright yellow 1984 Chevrolet Silverado, which was more than a vehicle-it was a symbol of his passion and dedication. Charles could often be found at classic car shows, polishing his truck and sharing laughs with fellow car lovers. Charles is survived by 2 brothers Randy Black wife Connie, Kevin Black wife Nichole, and one uncle Don Black. He is preceded in death by his parents William Randall Black, and Margaret Williams Black.
Beyond his love for cars, Charles embraced the great outdoors and enjoyed many sunny afternoons watching NASCAR on Sundays. His zest for life was evident in everything he did, and he always made time to connect with family and friends, filling their lives with joy and warmth.
In honoring his memory, graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes, Indiana, giving friends and family a chance to come together and celebrate the remarkable life of Charles Black. We invite everyone who knew him to join us as we reflect on the wonderful moments, stories, and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
As we prepare to say our final goodbyes, we find comfort in knowing that Charles's spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts, just as his yellow Silverado shone under the sun. Rest in peace, Charles. You will be dearly missed. Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home is privileged and honored to be entrusted with care of Charles and his family.
