Christopher "Chris" Schatz

Christopher "Chris" Schatz, 53, of Decker, IN passed away November 24, 2024. He was born in Vincennes, IN on July 10, 1971, to James Henry and Norma (Young) Schatz. Chris married Sarah Lowe on October 7, 1995. He worked for as a school bus driver and a truck driver for many years. In his free time, Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing; watching westerns, cooking shows, and the Hallmark channel; tinkering, building and driving cars for the demolition derby, and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.

Chris was preceded in death by his father James H. Schatz; siblings Brad Schatz, David Schatz, Jackie Schatz, and Reba Singer.

He is survived by his wife Sarah Schatz; mother Norma Schatz; stepdad Roger Osborn; children Jimmy (Erica) Lowe, Timmy Ramey, Brian Ramey, Shayna (Maxwell) Pugh, James Schatz, Daniel (Becky) Schatz, Jody Schatz, Ashley Schatz, Henry Schatz; grandchildren Raeleigh Lowe, Alaina Lowe, Brayden Lowe, Hayven Ramey, Tyler Mahan, Paige Schatz, Dalaney Schatz, Hunter Schatz, Remington Schatz, Alan Hurst, Everliey Hurst, Sterling Hurst, Elizabeth Schatz; siblings Vicki Stover and Jamie Shotz; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Schatz. Visitation will be held Monday, December 2, 2024 from 3-7 pm and December 3, 2024 from 10-11 am at 524 Broadway Street. The Funeral Service will begin promptly at 11 am with burial at Shiloh Cemetery immediately following.
