The angels gently lifted Clara B. Keith to her heavenly home on June 14, 2026, at the age of 97. Clara was born July 3, 1928, in Washington, Indiana and was excited to be planning her 98th July firecracker’s birthday.

Clara loved every holiday because it was an opportunity to deck out for the holiday with her room decorations and clothes. She liked colorful beads and necklaces that blinked. Her costume jewelry was a treasured keepsake. The brighter the color the better and it radiated in her personality, bringing joy to others. Large potlucks every holiday filled Clara with complete JOY. Her basement was set ready to sit as many family and extra friends that came. The colorful decorations and the scrumptious food delighted her-especially the cookies, cakes, and pies. After graduating from Washington High School in 1947, she worked at US Rubber/Uniroyal for over 30 years with her sisters. During World War II she helped make parachutes for the war effort. She extensively traveled during any factory vacation. One of her favorite memories was in 1958 when she traveled to Canada by boat. The Queen of England stayed at the same hotel at the same time. She loved sharing the details of seeing the Queen and all the pomp and ceremony. One of the highlights of her life was building her house in 1973. She was so excited about designing and picking out all the colorful details. She was so proud of her new home.

Clara was a faithful member of First Christian Church for over 70 years. She was also a previous 73-year member of Eastern Star. Cedar Creek Assisted Living Center, previously Emerald Place, has been her happy home for the past 12 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents Troy Ii. Keith and Lela M. Eagle Keith. She outlived all her ten siblings: Prentiss Keith, Elmer Keith, Zola Keith Cooley, Ada Keith, Samuel Keith, William Keith, Carl Keith, Helen Keith Barber, Ruth Keith, and Elsie Keith O'Brien.

One of her outstanding talents was taking care of and enjoying children. She was delighted to use that opportunity with her 30 nieces and nephews, 57 great nieces and nephews, 97 great great nieces and nephews, and 32 great great great nieces and nephews.
