It is with heavy hearts but a sense of celebration for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Damon Dale Jones on September 12, 2026. Damon was born on November 9, 1977 in Vincennes the son of David and Linda (Dale) Jones. He was a beloved son and brother, cherished friend, and a beacon of kindness and joy to those who knew him. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed.

Damon exemplified excellence from a young age. A proud graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School in 1996, he not only graduated with honors but also made history as the first All-State golfer from the school, paving the way for future generations. His athletic prowess extended to the football field as a quarterback for Clark Middle School and to the basketball court as a freshman player, showcasing his diverse talents and passion for sports. He also showcased his talents on the baseball field participating in several Cub League All Star teams and winning the State as a ten year old. Damon also enjoyed his time he spent with his brother Blake on the golf course and enjoyed his time with his family attending St. Louis Cardinals games.

Damon further pursued his love for golf at the University of Indianapolis on a scholarship, later continuing his education at the University of Southern Indiana, where he majored in Biology. His intellectual curiosity and dedication to learning were traits that inspired many around him.

Beyond academics and athletics, Damon had a vibrant spirit infused with a love for music and dancing. He was a devoted fan of the Kansas Jayhawks and the Minnesota Vikings, cheering passionately for his teams. His culinary talents shone brightly in the kitchen, where he delighted friends and family with his cooking creations. Above all, Damon's gentle and kind-hearted nature made him a beloved presence in the lives of those fortunate enough to know him, including his beloved dog, Mia.

Damon's adventurous heart led him to Florida, where he found true love with Jean Davis. Their journey together was a testament to what love can be-a partnership filled with laughter, joy, and shared dreams.

Survivors include his parents, David and Linda (Dale) Jones, his girlfriend, Jean Davis; and his brother, Blake Jones. Damon is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ruth and Joe Dale and his paternal grandparents, Rebert and Maebelle Jones.

A private graveside service will be held, and Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is privileged and honored to be entrusted with the care of Damon and his family. Online memories may be shared with Damon's family and friends at www.goodwinsieversfh.com.
