Daniel Joseph Buhr, 80, of Washington, Indiana, passed away at his residence on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 10:22am.

He was born on January 24, 1946, to the late Dean Orville Buhr & Betty June (Worman) Brock, in Washington, Indiana.

Daniel attended West End School in Washington and later attended Washington High School. He worked for several years at Uniroyal Factory in Washington and later went to work at Crane Naval Base where he spent the entirety of his career. He was the proud recipient of the 35 Years of Dedication Award at Crane.

On September 16, 1995, Daniel married the love of his life, Jackie Buhr, and they shared over 30 years of marriage together.

Daniel enjoyed antiquing in his spare time, and he loved to do it alongside Jackie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean & Betty; his daughter, Pamela Jo Buhr; his stepfather, Bill E. Brock; his sister, Marilyn Rose Schmidtendorff, and brother-in-law Lonnie.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Jackie Buhr; his children, Kelly Jo Buhr, and Travis Buhr, his step-children, Anthony Nash and his wife Alicia, and Shana Jo Nash and her fiancé Joshua Pitman; his siblings, Diana Sue Hawkins and her husband Richard, Kathie Jane Coleman and her husband John, and Sandra Kay Smoot and her husband Keith; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
