David Sidney Draeger
May 24, 1947 — April 19, 2025
David Sidney Draeger, 77, died peacefully on April 19, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. David was born on May 24, 1947 in Edinburg, Texas to Sidney and Helen Draeger.
He is survived by his sister, brother, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. David spent time as a chemical engineer, a horse trainer, and a handyman. He also dedicated his life to God through service to others by running a soup kitchen, building wheelchair ramps, and projects in Haiti too numerous to list. David’s heart has been with the Haitian people for over 40 years. He worked tirelessly with and to support the Haitian people.
Services will be held on June 21st at 1:00 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Vincennes located on 411 North 4th Street in Vincennes, IN. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of David and his family.
