Delbert Shimer

Delbert R Shimer ,89, entered into his eternal rest Feb 23rd. Surrounded by his family. He was born on Aug 25th 1933. In 1955 he married the love of his life Neoma, they recently celebrated 68 years of marriage. Together they raised 4 boys John(deceased), Larry, Delbert, and David. Not only was he blessed with 4 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, he also had a million dollar smile that would brighten the darkest days. Delbert was a steel mill worker for 30 years before retiring bringing many years of happiness and quality time to his family. A beacon of light and hope that is truly missed. Goodwin-Sievers is honored and entrusted with the care of Mr. Shimer. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 10am at Sugarland Memory Garden.
