Delphia Childers

Delphia J. Childers, Vincennes, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Neon, KY, the daughter of Samuel and Vina (Holbrook) Franklin. Delphia was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church, D.A.R and served as a docet at the Harrison House. Survivors include her daughter, Madonna Bird and her husband, W.C. of Morgantown, WV; grandchildren, Sara Nelson and her husband, Chris, and Chris Bird and his wife, Kelly; and great-grandchildren, Ben and Emmeline Nelson and Jackson and Ashlyn Bird. Preceding Delphia in death were her parents; husband, Maurice Childers; son, Donald Childers; one brother and one sister. Graveside services will be held Friday, November 25 at noon at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Lori Peach officiating. There will be no visitation.
