Dennis McCarter, 70, of Emison, Indiana passed away on April 2, 2026. He was born in Vincennes, Indiana on July 29, 1955, to the late Russell Jr. and Delores McCarter. Dennis graduated from North Knox High School in 1973. He worked for many years as a laborer in the Ford Sawmill. Dennis married Sarah McCarter on July 15, 1995. In his free time Dennis enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, mushroom hunting, and doing lawn maintenance. He will be deeply missed.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Russell Jr. and Delores McCarter; son Daniel McCarter; and siblings Ancy Kaiser, Russell "Buddy" McCarter III, Doug McCarter, and Tim McCarter.
He is survived by his wife, of 30 years, Sarah McCarter; children Gina (Jack) Hedge, Zon Marlow, Mary Marlow; sisters Tammy Holscher and Mary Worland; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Dennis. There will be no services at this time.
