Dixie Lee Courtney of Vincennes, IN, went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2025. She was born on September 07, 1944. Dixie grew up in the Oakland City area with her 3 siblings. Dixie Keneipp was married to Chuck Courtney in 1964, and they remained happily married for 60 years. Chuck and Dixie raised one daughter, Mischelle, whom they cherished. Dixie spent most of her time as a stay at home mom, but made several close friends working at JC Penny’s and JoAnn Fabrics. She even got her realtor’s license and enjoyed learning new things. Dixie loved traveling to Brown County each year with her sisters. Throughout the years, Chuck and Dixie were blessed with 3 beautiful grandchildren, Gabrielle, Austin, and Kinleigh. Grandma Dixie made sure her grandkids were never hungry or thirsty. Her classics were homemade mashed potatoes, pork chops she cooked on low for hours, and for dessert—pudding or jello. Just recently, Dixie became a great grandma, her great grandson, Myles, had brought her so much joy. Mom and Grandma were two titles she was proud of and excelled at.
Dixie is preceded in death by her Parents; Charles Keneipp and Pauline Smith; brother Charles “Butch” Keneipp.
Dixie is survived by daughter, Mischelle Luking; Sisters Paula McLaughlin, Karen Keneipp ;sister in law JoAnn Keneipp; grandchildren Gabrielle (Seth) Ault, Austin Luking, Kinleigh Luking; and great grandson Myles Ault. She also had several nieces and nephews she cherished.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Dixie. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 11 am to 1 pm at 524 Broadway Street. The funeral service will begin promptly at 1 pm with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following.
