Dorothy Yates

Dorothy O. Yates, 103, passed away September 17, 2019 at Heritage Center in Evansville, IN. She was born February 15, 1916 in Miami, IN to the late Sylvester S. Griffin and Flossie Hayes. Dorothy retired from Pacific Telephone and Telegraph in 1971 as a chief operator. She was a past member of Owensville General Baptist Church. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents S.S. Griffin and Flossie (Hayes) Griffin; husband Raymond Yates; siblings Mary Frances, Lola Ellis, Geneive Brines, Clifford Griffin, Jim Griffin, and Howard Griffin. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Holder's Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Yates. Private graveside services will be held at Owensville Cemetery.
