The ozone layer breathed a sigh of relief as the King of Flatulence has passed away. Earle J. Keller, Jr. passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on Sunday, Sept 13.
Earle was born Sept. 11, 1953, in Kankakee, IL. to Earle J. Sr and Marie Gocken Keller. He graduated from Goffstown HS in Goffstown NH in 1971. The next day his family moved back to Kankakee where he attended Kankakee Community College.
He married Sharon Rogers and together they had 3 children: Dawn - San Antonio TX; Jacob (Angela) children, Evelynn and Ezra - Houston TX; Melissa (Eric Minter) children: Taylor, Tristan and Caleb - Houston, TX. Melissa has not spoken to her father in over 17 years. He is also survived by his loving and devoted wife Jo Ellen, his children and grandchildren; sisters Shawna Havener, Alison Paglin and Delores Ohrt and families.
Earle has had a variety of jobs. He worked at Howard Johnson's, Joliet Army Ammunition Depot and also as an optician. He spent many years in home improvement at: 84 Lumber, Home Depot and Lowes. He retired on disability from AutoZone. He was also a long-time devotee of the Chicago Cubs.
In 2001 he married the love of each other's lives, Jo Ellen Stodghill Sebring. He was the Wild Thing to her Lovebug.
Earle had a very different sense of humor. Jo Ellen says that she is probably the only person who ever "got him" right off the bat. Not even his mother understood his sense of humor all the time.
He was a man of many talents. He was known as McGyver. He could figure out any problem - of course his way was the right way. All of the things that he had to endure during his 5 years in nursing home, he handled with courage and grace.
Earle is preceded in death by his parents, stepfathers Robert Davenport and Glen Ohrt. Also, his sister Lana Peterson, twins Andy and Aaron and stepson Charles Stodghill Sebring.
The day before he passed, Earle accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
