Edgar F. Qualkenbush II, 36, of Vincennes, passed away on August 1, 2026.

Edgar was born on May 20, 1990, in Vincennes, the son of Edgar F. Qualkenbush. He was a 2008 graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School and continued his education at the University of Evansville, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics in 2012. Edgar put his talents to use professionally as a Senior Data Analyst with Greylock Energy.

Edgar had a brilliant and curious mind, along with a wonderful imagination and a genuine enthusiasm for the things that captured his interest. He found great enjoyment in building with LEGO, the strategy and creativity of Warhammer, and the incredible worlds of Star Wars and Star Trek. His fascination with NASA reflected his love of discovery and the possibilities beyond our own world, while his appreciation for comics brought him countless stories, characters, and adventures to enjoy. These interests were more than simply hobbies to Edgar—they were part of what made him uniquely himself and brought him happiness throughout his life. His intelligence, creativity, and passion for the things he loved will be fondly remembered by those who knew him best.

Edgar will be deeply missed by his family, friends, co-workers, and all whose lives were touched by his presence.

Those left to cherish Edgar’s memory include his father, Edgar Qualkenbush of Monroe City; his sisters, Britni Qualkenbush and Ashley Doades and her husband, Chris, all of Vincennes; his special niece and nephew, Adelyn and Zachary Doades; and his special friend and love of his life, Fabiana. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

Edgar was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Clone Qualkenbush; his aunt and uncle, Mary Ann and Jim Bible; his uncles, Fred Qualkenbush and Jim Backstrom; and his cousin, Brian Qualkenbush.

In accordance with Edgar’s wishes, cremation will take place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
