Ellis was a man who cherished his family above all else. He was a devoted father to his son Ellis Fields, Jr., and daughter Crystal Fields. His love extended generously to his grandchildren, Cody J Allen and Brittany P Allen and great grandchildren Kayden Allen, Kayleigh Walls, and Keegan Allen, each of whom held a special place in his heart. The memories shared among them remain a testament to the bond they held with him.
Throughout his lifetime, Ellis carried a passionate love for baseball and racing, pursuits that brought him joy and camaraderie. His enthusiasm extended into collecting die-cast cars, a hobby that connected deeply with his fondness for both sport and mechanics. Ellis also enjoyed occasional fishing trips, moments of peace spent relaxing by watching old westerns, and collecting Indian memorabilia, reflecting the breadth of his interests and the richness of his character.
Ellis's life was also touched by the memories of those who have preceded him in death: his parents Blythe Ellis Fields (08/14/1922-12/27/1993) and Ella Lee Peach Fields (01/17/1925-03/22/1993), and his wife Hazel Elizabeth Wininger Fields (12/27/1952-11/30/2015).
