Elsie Cox

Elsie I. "Gray" Cox, 90, 723 E. Ramsey Rd., Vincennes, passed away at 1:20 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Lodge of the Wabash. Elsie was born July 27, 1920, in Knox County, IN, the daughter of Alonzo J. Sr. & Elsie (Dycus) Cox Elsie had worked as a waitress at the Executive Inn.Survivors include three sisters, Pat Hunt and Hazel Melvin both of Vincennes and Mary Alice Bowman of Florida; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.Preceding Elsie in death were her parents; brothers, Bud Cox, Alonjo Cox, Jr. and sisters, Ella Smith, Zella McCullough and Catherine Marie Sievers.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St. with Rev. Ray Tromley officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from noon until the service time on Tuesday.
