Elza Staley

Elza E. "Gene" Staley, Jr., 59, 1309 Wheeler St., Vincennes, passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2011 at his residence. Born August 1, 1952, in Vincennes, he was the son of Ida (Stewart) and Elza Staley, Sr. Elza had worked as a mechanic. Survivors include his children, Paula Jean Livermore of Vincennes, Suellen Kay Nodine of Vincennes, Laurie Staley of Kentucky and Elza E. "Bubb" Staley III of Vincennes; sisters, Kathy Morris, Darla Cessna and Rita Meredith all of Vincennes; brothers, Larry Staley of Jacksonville, FL, Ricky Staley of Washington, IN and Steven Staley of LaPorte, IN; fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Preceding Elza in death were his parents and sister, Alfreda Wells.Friends may visit with the family at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St., on Monday, September12, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service in Memorial Park Cemetery.Online condolences may be sent through www.goodwinfamilyfh.com
