Floyd J. Stephens, 85, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026.

Born on May 8, 1941, in Bruceville, Indiana, Floyd was the son of Roland and Esther (Manning) Stephens. He graduated from Vincennes Lincoln High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Following his honorable discharge, Floyd made Fort Wayne his home and began a successful career in the banking industry. Through hard work, integrity, and dedication, he built a respected career and retired from Banc One in 1999.

Floyd will be remembered for his strong work ethic, devotion to his family, and the kindness he showed to those around him. He valued time spent with loved ones and took great pride in the accomplishments of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; his sons, Russ (Amy) and Mike Stephens; grandchildren Amanda Irons (Ben), Addison (Aimee), Ryan, Abbey, Ashley, Alison, and Olivia Stephens, great-grandchildren Hudson Stephens, Reid and Annie Irons, his niece Chery Crabtree, and nephews Ralph Crabtree, and Jim, Eric, and Todd Stephens who will cherish his memory.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Esther Stephens; his brother, Paul "Leroy" Stephens and his wife, Penny; his sister, Shirley Crabtree and her husband, Ralph, and his nephew Brian Stephens.

A funeral service will be held at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home at 524 Broadway Street in Vincennes on June 9, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 919 Willow Street, Vincennes, Indiana.Goodwin-Sievers is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Floyd and his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Floyd's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
