Gary Raymond Copp

We celebrate the life of Gary Copp, who passed at Good Samaritan Hospital with his family by his side on July 27, 2025. Gary was born in Vincennes to Charles Copp and Sally Hall. Gary was a devoted husband to his beloved spouse, Kathy Copp, and his warmth and passion for life will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Gary was a proud partner and co-owner of Byron Bobe's Pizza House and devoted his life to the business for more than 45 years. Gary enjoyed the outdoors, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether he was casting a line in his favorite fishing spot, enjoying the thrill of hunting, perfecting his aim at the shooting range, playing pool, or playing the tip boards, Gary embraced every adventure with enthusiasm. His love for the great outdoors was matched only by his fondness for spending time with family and for riding his golf cart, where he created countless cherished memories. Gary's playful spirit extended to his pets, with whom he had a special bond. His love for animals was evident, and he delighted in the simple joys of playing and spending time with them.

Gary is survived by his wife Kathy, his mother Sally Hall, his daughter Julia (Tom) Legg, son Andrew Copp of Fort Wayne, sisters Tamara Copp of Stanton, California, and Ginger (Steve) Copp-Sharpe, grandchildren Corin Halter, Dustyn Halter, Eva Copp, and Kayge Pennell, and several nieces and nephews. Gary is preceded in death by a son Ryan Copp and his father Charles Copp.

A graveside service, as well as a Celebration of Life, will be held at later dates.
