Gayle Lynn Huffer

Gayle Lynn Huffer, beloved wife, devoted grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on December 6, 1955, Gayle is the daughter of Joseph and Robertine (Goodwin) Hatton.

Gayle was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, where she found spiritual comfort. She cherished her time spent at the Hatton Family reunions, where the bonds of family were celebrated and stories were shared. Her passion for  genealogy exemplified her love of family history, bringing her joy and curiosity as she explored the stories of her ancestors and shared them with those she loved.

Prior to her retirement, Gayle enjoyed her career as a Registration Clerk at Good Samaritan Hospital and as an administrative assistant at Henderson Transfer. Gayle was proud of the Fritchton Eagles, she embodied the spirit of camaraderie, actively participating as an Eaglette.

Gayle is survived by her husband, Royce Huffer Jr.; children, Royce Huffer III and his wife, Amanda, Stephanie Clark and her husband, John, and Joseph Benjamin Huffer; mother, Robertine Hatton; sisters,Penny Strader, Cindy Compton, and Kellie Kaiser; grandchildren, Ezra Clark and Robert Huffer. Gayle is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Hatton.

A public viewing will be held at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home on Friday, July 11,2025, from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Royal Oak Cemetery in Bruceville. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Gayle.

As we remember Gayle, let us celebrate her vibrant spirit, her unwavering love for family, and her compassionate character.Though she many be gone from our sight,her legacy will forever live on in our hearts.
