George “Pete” Criswell, age 61, of Washington, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025.

He was born on September 11, 1964, in Washington to Georgia June Deloris Criswell. George was a lifelong over-the-road truck driver who truly loved life on the road. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed the freedom and adventure it brought.

In his spare time, George loved fishing and watching wrestling. He also really loved riding his Harley Davidson and working security at Abate rally’s. In recent years, he discovered a new passion for music, learning to play instruments like the banjo and guitar.

George is survived by his two sons, Patrick (Jonna) Booth and Robert (Andrea) Criswell; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Isaac, Ryleigh, Nora, Julia, Beau, Luke, and Glenna; and several other children he lovingly considered his own grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Travis Criswell and Jeff Criswell, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia June Deloris Criswell; his grandmother, Verda June Lenard; his son, John Criswell; and his brothers, Ralph Criswell and Mark Hall.

A celebration of George’s life will be held on Saturday, November 8th at 4:00 p.m. at the home of Patrick and Jonna Booth, reach out to the family if needing directions. All who knew and loved George are welcome to join in sharing memories and honoring his life.
