James "Mick" Hancock, 68, of 12305 East Burke Road, Wheatland, passed away at 2:02 a.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital.He was born January 15, 1946 in Vincennes to Arthur and Nellie (Biggs) HancockMick retired from farming and was an avid #88 NASCAR fan.Surviving is his wife, Linda (Ivers) Hancock, whom he married on April 1, 1967; his daughter and her husband, Johnna and Gene Shepard of Monroe City; his son and his wife, James "Brock" and Brenda Hancock of Wheatland; his sister, Nita Jo Allemang of Bedford; and his two grandchildren, Kyle Foley and Sydnie Hancock; his step daughter and step son, Jennifer Jones Lee of Wheatland and Jerry Jones of Monroe City and their families.A Celebration of Mick's Life will be held at 10:30 am Thursday January 15, 2015 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Organ Procurement Association.
