James Winstead

James G. Winstead, 73, of Owensville, IN passed away August 24, 2022. He was born in Princeton, Indiana on February 7, 1949 to the late James O. Winstead and Violet Fern (Brown) Winstead. Jim met the love of his life, Helen Winstead, in the 7th grade. They were sweethearts from that first day moving forward. Helen and Jim married July 12, 1968 and celebrated 53 years together before her passing in October of 2021. Jim retired from Duke, previously PSI, after 30 years as an Electrical Supervisor. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Jim is survived by his son David (Stacy) Winstead; grandson Nathan (Kaycie) Winstead; great grandchildren Zoey and Lyla Winstead; and brother Steven Ray (Peggy) Winstead. Holder's Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Winstead. The family has chosen to not have services at this time. Burial will be in Owensville Cemetery at a later date.
