Joann J. Malott

Joann J. Malott, 92, of Washington, Indiana went to be with the Lord, on March 22, 2026. She was born in Princeton, Indiana on June 1, 1933, to the late Roy and Elizabeth Watkins. She attended Princeton High School and graduated in 1951. Joann proudly worked as a nurse's aide at the Prairie Village Nursing Home for 26 years caring for all her residents. She is a member of the Washington Free Methodist Church. In her free time she enjoyed dancing at the Executive Inn, spending time with her family, tending to her flowers, caring for people, and spending time with her dogs. She will be deeply missed.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Elizabeth Watkins; great-granddaughter Riley Rose Kidwell; siblings Rosella Watkins, Beulah Stephens, Helen Reed, and Bob Watkins.

She is survived by her children Kimra (Jeffery) Hinderliter and Kyle Malott; grandchildren Tyler (Sandi) Kidwell, Trey (Hannah) Kidwell, Trenton (Sharon) Kidwell, Austin Malott; great-grandchildren Maisie, Jacob, Breah, Abriel, Mira, Zhoie, Finn, Landree; sister Carroll Corn; and father of her children Bill Malott.

Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Ms. Malott. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 2020 State Street from 11 - 1. The Funeral Service will begin promptly at 1 pm with burial at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Petersburg, Indiana immediately following.
