John S Draper

John S. Draper, 94 of Vincennes Indiana passed away peacefully on September 26, 2026. He was born January 24,1932 in Boston, Massachusetts to Marion and Henry Draper. He was raised and educated in Dedham, Massachusetts where he met and married the love of his life, Priscilla, who preceded him in 2003 after 49 years of marriage. 

John spent his working life as a builder and carpenter. He co-founded Channel Building Company in the 1960's and later formed his own company, DRACO Construction Company - both in Massachusetts. His last project was completed when he was 90 years old. John enjoyed tending his plants and flowers. He loved Maine and was a summer resident of his beloved "camp". He was formerly of Andover and North Andover Massachusetts, a resident for over forty years, before moving to Vincennes Indiana in 2006. John served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by his; daughter, Lori (Robert) Kinsman of Massachusetts, son, John (Rosemary) Draper of Maine; grandchildren Leanne (Richard) Martin of Florida, Heather Belanger of Massachusetts, and Roger (Krista) Gallant of New Hampshire; great grandchildren, Kyle (Corrinne) Morin of New Hampshire, Andrew Morin of New Hampshire and Evan Martin of Florida. He was predeceased by wife Charlene in 2021.

John's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated teams at Gentle Care Strategies for their exceptional care, compassion and support over the last few months. Thank you also for the loving kindness from his friends at Living Gateway Church and especially his special friend, Betty McClary. Also, we are forever grateful for the outstanding care and comfort provided by Hospice. It was very much appreciated by John and his family.
