John Field

John C. Field, 62, of Owensville, IN passed away September 28, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born July 3, 1957 in Evansville, IN to Paul Field and Virginia (Maddex) Field. John was in the first graduating class at Gibson Southern High School, 1975. He attended University of Evansville and obtained his Associates Degree in Business. John worked in the Banking industry until 2005. He was a member of First General Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge 632 of Poseyville and served as a Shriner. John enjoyed woodworking, playing music, and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed. John is preceded in death by his father Paul Field. He is survived by his mother; Virginia Field; children Isaac Thomas Field and Benjamin (Tori) Field; siblings Martha (Robert) Mounts, Pauletta (Michael) Hillebrandt, and Don (Betty) Field; and several nieces and nephews. Holder's Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Field. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Holders Funeral Home from 4p-8p with Masonic service at 7pm. Funeral will be Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 10a with Bob Douglas officiating and interment at Owensville Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to any local High School music program of your choice.
