John Lowe

John E. Lowe, 81, passed away at 3:25 pm on December 28, 2021 at Willow Manor Nursing Home. John was born on January 10, 1940 in Vincennes and he was the son of James D. and Velma (Dillon) Lowe. John will be missed by many friends as well as many residents and staff at Willow Manor. He was preceded in death by his parents, James D. and Vera Lowe. John worked in several capacities during the course of his life. He was a deliveryman for Hudson Furniture, a greenskeeper at the Vincennes Elks Golf Course and in maintenance at the Westport Inn. John spent many days pitching horseshows, and had a great skill for this. He won several awards after entering many horseshoe tournaments. He also loved sports, especially college basketball. John was most proud of the fact that he lived with his mother and was her primary caregiver, living with her until her passing. There will be a graveside service for John beginning at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Fairview cemetery, 919 Willow St., Vincennes, IN with Pastor Trevor Murry officiating.
