Kathy Lee (Wilson) Shepard, 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 20, 1956, to Harold and Heloise (Perry) Wilson, Kathy was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose life was centered around those she loved. She graduated from South Knox High School in 1974 and married Samuel Dean Shepard on March 23, 1975. Sharing 51 wonderful years of marriage, they built a beautiful life filled with dedication, partnership, and cherished memories.

Kathy was a loving wife who faithfully walked alongside her husband in business, helping manage Shepard Construction with dedication and care. She was a lifelong member of the Monroe City First Church of God, developing a faith that would carry her through life and inspire others to know the love of God.

Kathy was a true friend with a sharp mind and quick wit, bringing laughter and wisdom to those fortunate enough to know her. Her greatest joy was being a proud and loving mother to her sons, Tyler and Trevor and continued in her role as "Nana" to Tucker, Klair, Warren, and Jacie Jo, who brought immense happiness and light into her life. Kathy's legacy is one of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to God and her family.

She is survived by her devoted husband Sam Shepard, her sons Tyler and his wife Jennifer of Wheatland, Indiana, and Trevor and his wife Erika of Monroe City, Indiana, as well as her adoring grandchildren Tucker and Jacie Jo Shepard and Klair and Warren Lee Shepard. She is also survived by her sisters Lynn Burke of Wheatland, Indiana and Janie (Allen) Kirk of Camby, Indiana, and her brother Mark Wilson of Monroe City, Indiana and their families. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Heloise Wilson, whom she held dear in her heart throughout her life.

Friends and family may gather at Monroe City First Church of God to celebrate Kathy's life on Tuesday, March 31st, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM; the service will begin at noon, with Kay Anson officiating. A graveside service will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
