Kenneth Ray McAtee, a beloved father and avid outdoorsman, passed away tragically on August 21, 2026, in Washington, Indiana, at the age of 66. He was born on October 29, 1959, in Washington, IN, where he established his roots and created a lifetime of cherished memories.

 Kenneth had a profound passion for fishing and the great outdoors, often spending his days savoring the beauty of nature. His love for adventure was matched only by his dedication to family. A devoted father, he cherished his relationship with his daughter, Brandee McAtee, and worked to instill in her the values of love, respect, and appreciation for the world around them. He is also survived by two grandchildren Rayelee and Ryelee along with one brother Travis McAtee.

 An active member of the community, Kenneth served as an Assistant Scout Leader, guiding and mentoring young boys towards earning their Eagle Scout badges. He was proud of his own achievements during his youth, having earned his Eagle Badge, which reflected his commitment to leadership and service. In high school, Kenneth was a member of the Madrigals, where he shared his love of music with friends and family, adding a melodic touch to many gatherings. Throughout his life, he embraced the contentment that comes from spending time with loved ones, always prioritizing family above all. Kenneth will be remembered for his kind heart, dedication to his passions, and the joy he brought to those around him. His untimely passing leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew him.

 A funeral service will be held on August 28, 2026, at 12:00 PM, at the Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home in Washington Indiana, with Pastor Brad Rainey officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home. As we gather to celebrate Kenneth's life, we invite all those who knew and loved him to share in this time of remembrance, reflecting on the warmth he brought into our lives and the legacy he leaves behind.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father Tom McAtee, mother Patsy Jackson McAtee, one sister Donnita McAtee, and one niece Shandra McAtee.
