Listen to Obituary

Lance Martin Rehm, born November 26, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on May 31, 2026, in Washington, Indiana, at the age of 76.

Lance graduated from the University of Missouri–Rolla with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1971. After completing his studies, he returned home and joined A&P, where he worked alongside his brother and later became produce department manager.

On December 4, 1976, Lance married Loris Mae Summers, and together they built a life grounded in devotion, steadiness, and shared joy.

Lance went on to spend many years as a merchandiser with KeHE, Supervalu, and Wetterau, before retiring from Ride Solutions.

In his later years, Lance and Loris joined his two brothers and their spouses on annual trips to Panama City Beach, escaping the Missouri and Indiana winters and creating cherished memories together.

Lance is survived by his wife, Loris Mae Summers; his children, Samuel “Sam” Robert Rehm (Jonathan) and Katherine “Kathy” Ann Rehm; and his brother, Ronald Phillip Rehm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lula Bell and Walter George, and by his brother, Bruce James Rehm, who passed on February 15, 2026.

Lance will be remembered for his love of family get-togethers, his enjoyment of reading, his lifelong passion for camping, and the steady, caring presence he offered to those he loved. His best advice to everyone he met was simple and sincere: “Enjoy life!”

Visitation for Lance will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 12:00-1:00pm ET at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN 47501. A funeral service will follow beginning at 1:00pm.
