Larry Allen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Allen, a beloved father, mechanic, and community member, who left us peacefully on October 17, 2025, at the age of 77. Larry was born on August 18, 1948, in Vincennes, IN, and that is where he resided his whole life.

Larry was a hardworking man who dedicated much of his life to his job as a mechanic at Wilson Motors. He was known for his knack with old cars and had a passion for fixing things up just right. Larry enjoyed being apart of the demolition derbies with his car being number 52. 

Family was everything to Larry. He is survived by his loving children, daughters Amber Allen (Robert Goldsberry) and Dottie (Scott) Crouch, as well as sons Steven (Megan) Grim, Andrew Allen (Keya Holzmiller), and Samuel Allen. He also leaves behind his daughter-in-law, Cameron Nichols, who brought joy to his life. Also surviving are his siblings, Bob Allen, Randy (Julie) Allen, Harold Allen, and Sandy Moyer, 25 grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren and partner Linda Allen.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Ava (Nicholson) Allen and granddaughter Briana Nicole Stevens.

Larry had a playful side too; he would light up the community by dressing up as Santa during the holidays, bringing smiles to the faces of children and adults alike. He enjoyed camping and fishing, and he cherished time spent outdoors. Larry's sense of humor and warm-hearted nature will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Larry will be cremated and there are no services at this time. 

In his memory, let's remember the joy he brought to our lives and the kindness he extended to everyone around him. Rest in peace, Larry. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is privileged and honored to be entrusted with the care of Larry and his family.
