Leoa Joyce (Jodi) Parsons Lee, 77, of Washington, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Sunday, March 15, 2026. She was born on January 30, 1949, in North Vernon, Indiana, the daughter of Zack and Elizabeth Neely.

A 1967 graduate of Washington High School, Jodi lived a life guided by faith, compassion, and community. In 1969, she married her best friend, Ken Parsons, and together they shared 48 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2017. They raised two children, Pete (Kim) Parsons of Washington and Patty (Michael) Allen of Washington, who were the light of her life. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Simon (Braylee), Elijah, Elire, Garrett, and Zack.

Following Ken’s passing, Jodi was blessed to find love again. She met and married Rory Lee of Washington, with whom she shared the rest of her years. Through this marriage, she gained two cherished bonus daughters, Brogan (Cody) Lee of Washington and Madi (Brian) Lee of Washington. She and Rory enjoyed traveling between their home in Florida and Washington, spending time with family and friends and embracing each season together.

Jodi devoted her career to teaching and social work with Washington Community Schools, where her kindness, patience, and encouragement touched countless lives. A faithful Christian and community leader, she served as a lay director for the Walk to Emmaus and played a vital role in starting Just Say No and Jubilee Christmas. Her dedication to service and her unwavering faith were a true reflection of her heart. One of her favorite things was opening her house to friends and family. A favorite tradition was the pie party the night before Thanksgiving, a legacy carried on by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Zack and Elizabeth Neely, and her first husband, Ken Parsons. She is survived by her loving husband, Rory Lee; her children, Pete (Kim) Parsons and Patty (Michael) Allen; her bonus daughters, Brogan (Cody) and Madi (Brian); her sisters Roberta (Bill) Griggs of West Lafayette and Lynn (Joe -deceased) O’Brian of Washington; and her five beloved grandchildren, Simon, Elijah, Elire, Garrett, and Zack.
