Leona Collins

Leona Esther CollinsLeona E. Collins, 94, passed away at 6:55 am on March 1, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Leona was born on June 23, 1918 in Ragsdale, Indiana to Minnie and George McLin. She married Warren E. Collins in 1940, and he preceded her in death in February of 1986.Mrs. Collins was a life- long resident of Knox County and a long time member of Indiana Presbyterian Church where for years she participated in the Wednesday quilting group. She also was a member and officer of the Solid Workers Missionary Society at Indiana Presbyterian Church.Survivors include her sons James S. Collins and his wife Dixie of Lyons, IN; Richard Collins and his wife Theresa of Kansas City, KS; Joseph M. Collins and his wife Mary of Owensville, IN; daughter, Joyce A. Theriac of Vincennes; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Collins of West Lafayette, eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Leona was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Kenneth L. Collins, granddaughter, Allison D. Theriac and son-in-law Warren C. Theriac.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Indiana Presbyterian Church.
