Margaret Harris

Margaret Joann Harris, 80, of Plainville, passed away at 2;52 pm Tuesday May 8, 2018 at Eastgate Manor in Washington.She was born January 22, 1938 in Terre Haute, Indiana to William Benjamin and Margaret (Simpson) Mewhinney.Margaret worked at various jobs with her last one at Theroff Motel in Washington.Surviving are her children, Mark Paul McGinnis of Virginia, Winnie Ann McGinnis of Kokomo, Clark Douglas McGinnis currently of Afghanistan, Roger William McGinnis of Washington, and Eva Mae-Estelle Hulsey of Kokomo; her brothers, William Benjamin Mewhinney Jr. of Arizona, and Nathan Allen Mewhinney of Florida; and her step-son Keith Harris of Plainville.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Harris; and brothers and sisters, Willard Paul Mewhinney, Rita jewel Wilson, Mickey joe Mewhinney, and Ramona June Coogan.Per her wishes Margaret will be cremated and there will be no public services. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home in Washington is entrusted with the arrangements.
