Marie Francis Deppe

Marie Francis Deppe, of Vincennes, IN, passed away April 26, 2021, at the Owen Valley Health Campus. A 1946 graduate of Lincoln High School, she had worked for Indiana Bell as an operator and had also worked as a waitress. She was a long time member of the Moose Lodge, and the Bethlehem General Baptist Church. Marie was very independent, and an incredible writer and poet. She was an excellent bakery chef, and seamstress, making clothes for her children when they were young. Travelling with her daughter, Star, was a special time for her. Marie loved her cats and dogs, and was a huge Elvis fan. Surviving are her children, Starlen Jo Deppe of Lexington, KY, Dudley Eugene Deppe and his wife, Nedra, of Spencer, IN, and Bryan Bradley Deppe of Lexington, KY: her brothers, Isaac "Ike" Murphy and Louis Murphy, both of Vincennes, IN; her grandchildren, Brandon, Audrey, Mike, Shaun, and Michelle Deppe; and her great-grandchildren, Lily Wilson, and Carter, Spencer, Dillion, Luke, and Aidan Deppe. Born January 26, 1928, in Vincennes, IN, she was the daughter of Francis and Violet (Newman) Murphy. Her parents; her son, Bradley Kevin Deppe; and her husband, Ralph Eugene Deppe, preceded her.
