Marjorie Lucille Beamon, a beloved member of her community and family, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, in Washington, IN. Born on December 13, 1942, in Vincennes, Marjorie's life was marked by warmth, dedication, and a vibrant love for the world around her.
Marjorie was a distinguished member of the American Business Women's Association, where she contributed her talents and support to empower women in the business sphere. Her faith played an integral role in her life as well; she was a devoted member of St. John's United Church of Christ, finding strength and comfort within her church community.
Marjorie's passions were many and varied. She cherished spending summers at Patoka Lake, where she enjoyed boating and creating lasting memories. An avid reader and gardener, she took great pleasure in tending to her flowers and nurturing her garden, bringing beauty and life to all who knew her. Her meticulous nature found another outlet in cross-stitch and knitting, hobbies she embraced with quiet joy.
Throughout her life, Marjorie held a deep love for travel, exploring new places and broadening her horizons with enthusiasm. In her younger years, she was also a proud and skilled golfer, a reflection of her active spirit and determination.
Family was at the heart of Marjorie's life. She loved her grandchildren dearly, finding immense joy in their presence and nurturing their growth. She is survived by her daughter, Laura Holscher, her son Andy (Jennifer) Beamon; her siblings, Nancy Allen and Frieda (Jim) Christmas ; and her grandchildren Todd (Sierra) Holscher , Katelynn Holscher, Allie (Cordell) Randolph , Kelsey (Donnie) Nowaskie , along with great-grandchildren Kinsley Nowaskie, Donnie Nowaskie, Sawyer Randolph, and Dane Nowaskie. The bonds she shared with them were a source of great pride and happiness.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Beamon, whom she married on June 24, 1961; her father, Francis Donovan; her mother, Margaret Williams; her sons, Lonnie and Larry Beamon; and her great-grandchildren, Owen and Carter Beamon.
Her legacy is one of kindness, resilience, and grace. Marjorie's life touched many, and she will be remembered for her loving spirit, her commitment to family and community, and her unwavering passion for life's simple and profound joys.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Marjorie and her family.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday June 22, 2026 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Chapel, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN, followed by a Memorial Service for Marjorie at 2:00 pm, also at the funeral chapel. All times are Eastern.
