Mark was born on October 13, 1934, in Huntington County, IN. The son of Herman W. and Rowena Blinn. His biological mother was Dorothy (Marcott) Blinn. He married Vinetta "Vi" Reece on December 9, 1956. They spent 63 years together. She preceded him in death on March 26, 2020.

Mark served his country in the United States Army. He received two honorary discharges. He had various jobs throughout his life. He worked for a Hatchery, Fisher Body in Marian, Indiana, Snelling & Snelling Associates, and was a State Auto Insurance Adjuster. He & Vi owned M & V Furniture, Inc. He also worked at Money Tree Life Insurance and was a floating manager for Kocolene Gas in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky & Ohio.

After his retirement he stayed active delivering Meals on Wheels, office supplies for Office Connections and served as a custodian for First Christian Church. Mark was an active member of First Baptist Church. He was called to ministry & ordained at First Baptist Church. Mark with Vi at his side was one of the first Host Family program families for international students at Vincennes University. Together they touched 175 student lives. One of the students lived with them for seven years. He was a member of the YMCA Men’s & Women’s Club. He also mentored for Kid’s Hope.

Survivors include daughter, Vicki Booth (Steve) and sons Steve Blinn (Regina), Brian Blinn (Teresa) all of Vincennes. His siblings, sisters Pharaba Campbell (Dudley), and JoAnn Adamietz (Kevin) of Camdon, NC, brother Glen Blinn (Carla) of Michigan; his grandchildren, Chris Booth, Jessica Booth, Casey Booth, Kristina Booth, Justin Blinn (Ariel), Jared Blinn, Sarah McKinney (Josh), Kyle Blinn (Randa), Eli Schlomer (Karisha) special chosen grandson. His great grandchildren, Joshua Booth, Emilee Booth, Masyn, Addison and Janie Blinn, Kaden, Kaylee, Kara and Kash McKinnley, Hunter, Kylie and Sawyer Blinn, and Olivia Schlomer. Also, many nieces & nephews.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Rowena Blinn; his wife Vi Blinn and a brother-in-law Dudley Campbell.

Mark would like to thank Gary Memering for being a special friend during his earthly journey.

Friends may visit with Mark’s family from 10:30 am until the hour of service time of 12:30 pm on Friday, March 6, 2026, at First Baptist Church, 2625 Wabash Avenue, Vincennes, IN 47591. Pastor Phillip Wathall will officiate, and Mark will be laid to rest in Sugarland Memory Gardens where military rites will be conducted. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is privileged and honored to be entrusted with the care of Mark and his family.
