Mark Eugene Vest

Mark Eugene Vest, 61, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Sycamore Care Strategies in Loogootee with his loving family by his side.

He was born on December 3, 1963, to the late Melvin Eugene & Naomi Arlene (Allaback) Vest in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.

On August 28, 1986, Mark married Mary Kaye (Rogers) Vest, and together, they had two children: Nichole Lynn & Richard James.

Mark worked as a truck driver for 25 years, and he most recently drove for Stoughton Trucking. He loved to drive his truck, travelling and seeing the country. He also enjoyed to fish in his free time. Above everything, spending time with his grandbabies and family was his favorite thing to do. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Mark is survived by his wife, Mary Kaye Vest of Ohio, IL; his children, Nichole Lynn Edwards and her husband Joshua of Washington, IN, and Richard James Vest of Ohio, IL; his grandchildren, Sophia Vest, Olivia Vest, Hannah Edwards, and David Edwards; and two sisters, Dawn Bailey, and Sara Stoltenberg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Naomi.

There will be no public services held for Mark, and he will be cremated per his wishes. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mark and his family.
